In the summer of 2005, my first Children's book was published. As I went to schools to share my story, I discovered a need for the "love of writing". These author visits inspired me to start a writing club at my campus where I was teaching. To my surprise, I was started getting invited by other schools to share my interactive writing workshops. I was enjoying every minute of it and I noticed the students getting excited about writing! Students made me think and be more creative! This is how Kids Write to Know was born. Today, I have the honor to go to school districts to present my writing workshops. I have also had the priviledge to share my books in educational conferences and festivals. I love inspiring the students, teachers and parents who cross my path! But what they don't know is how much they inspire me. Together, we make writing fun and meaningful for all students.
